There is always plenty going on for youth of all ages at Raleigh Close. On a shul level, all are welcome to our regular Shabbat and Yom Tov, whether at day or in the evening. Based in the community centre, we have a solid attendance of over 50 a week coming along to enjoy our minyan, which the youth conduct themselves. Be it leining, davening or giving over a dvar Torah, there is ample opportunity for all to get involved in our service. Of course, each service is followed by a delicious kiddish and a chance to catch up with friends.
With shul providing the centre point of our activities, there is still plenty going on outside of our services. We offer a range of activities throughout the school year as well. For example, this year we have had roller-skating, quasar and the shul football tournament to name a few things we have been up to. Our more educational programmes have included an Oneg at our flat, delivering cakes to the community’s elderly before Rosh Hashana and a full afternoon’s activities to play our part in Mitzvah.
You can keep up to date with the youth and events on our Facebook group or by keeping your eyes open to our posters on the shul noticeboard or adverts in the shul newsletter.
