Hendon United Synagogue is currently undertaking an extensive refurbishment programme. The new Hardman wing – named in loving memory of Rev. Leslie and Josie Hardman – is scheduled to be opened in June 2011. The Hardman Wing will comprise a larger, purpose-built Beit Midrash including a library for Tefillah and ongoing learning together with an extended communal, multi-purpose hall (the Sol Cohen hall).
Hall hire
The new Sol Cohen hall will be an ideal location for a family simcha or other occasion with a retractable roof and seating for c.300 people it is a perfect venue for a Chuppah or other reception.
Community Centre
Hendon United Synagogue also has available for hire a large banqueting hall. This is ideal for sit-down function for c.300 people and/or for private kiddushim. There are also a number of smaller rooms available for midweek evening hire.
